The commercial driver who boldly knocked down two armed robbers with his Trotro vehicle at Sowutuom in Accra is complaining of neglect.
Mr. Kofi Adjei was speaking in an interview with Kojo Dickson on Saturday, April 17, 2021, edition of the Angel FM news.
According to him, he has since not received any form of support after crashing his vehicle on armed robbers who were escaping on a motorbike.
It would be recalled a trotro vehicle which was full of passengers knocked down two armed robbers who had stolen from a trader.
The driver of the trotro hit his car with the motorcycle of the armed robbers and that prevented them from bolting.
The incident led to the destruction of the trotro vehicle with the passengers onboard sustaining various degrees of injuries.
The armed robbers were subsequently arrested by the Police. However, the Trotro Vehicle was damaged beyond repairs.
The trotro driver was expecting the Police to reward him with another car to enable him to continue his business but that has not happened.
The trotro driver, Mr. Kofi Adjei indicates that his car owner is currently demanding a replacement of his vehicle but he has no money to pay back.
He says nobody has since contacted him for the intervention made.
“I’m still looking forward to receiving help from authorities. I have been neglected, but my worry has to do with those who have been admitted to the hospital. We have not heard anything from the appeal to replace my damaged car. My car got damaged and my car owner wants a replacement. But I believe they will come to my aid soon. I was scared for the woman they robbed. The armed robberies are becoming too much so I intervened to help because if we leave them to go, they can cause more harm at another place. I did that with a clean heart”. Kofo Adjei told Kojo Dickson in an interview.
