The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has served warning to the National Democratic Congress noting that he would not give them the chance to misbehave in the Ashanti region ahead of the 2020 elections.
According to him, the leadership of the NDC wants to incite their minor groups for them to be beaten in the Ashanti region.
“All they want is that they want their troublemakers to get beaten at polling stations. They want you people (NDC troublemakers) to beaten to death.”
His statement comes on the back of a revelation by a man hired by the NDC to use chemicals to destroy ballot papers in the Ashanti region on the day of voting.
In a shocking revelation on the Wontumi Morning Show the hired NDC agent, Prince Kwabena Antwi-Boasiako, stated that a staunch member of the NDC, Appiah Stadium first approached him and promised to arrange a meeting between him and former President John Mahama to explain to him how they intend to get the Ashanti Region record more rejected ballot papers.
“At the meeting, they told us that they have the security in their pocket so we can put extra foreign materials in the ballot box without fear. They promised to give us ballot papers and also a small rubber containing a chemical we can hide behind our mobile phone covers.”
He continued that “They told us that we are to put the rubber in the ballot paper we have thumb printed and drop it into the ballot box. In an hour, the chemical in the rubber would burst destroying all other ballot papers in the box to make them spoilt ballot”, he said.
But the NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi responded that he has put measures in place and would ensure that the leaders of the NDC leading the operation don’t get what they are looking for.
“I can confirm to you that I am Yamoah Ponko’s boss when it comes to the political game. He was a former MCE and he got sacked…he knows what I did. The police in Ashanti region are not in bed with the NDC”, he said.
