Joe PeeAdwoaadubianews.com has gathered reports of various social media attacks on Lydia Seyram Alhassan, Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.
These social media attacks, follow pictures of the Member of Parliament touring some parts of the flooded areas in her constituency.
Months ago, NDC’s Parliamentary Candidate for the area John Dumelo started dredging some major gutters in the constituency in anticipation of preventing flooding when the torrential rains begin.
Even though many hailed him for what they described as a proactive move, the Municipal Assembly stopped him from continuing the work. They claimed he had not sought permission from them to undertake the project but they refused to continue it when he stopped.
Mr John Dumelo took to his twitter handle yesterday to bemoan the action of the assembly, after they failed to do the needful to prevent the flooding.
“When we attempted fixing this, we were stopped yet those who stopped us are yet to do something about this in Ayawaso West”, he said.
Many have described Lydia Alhassan’s tour of the area as a panic reaction and a response to the pressure John Dumelo is giving her. The two continues to battle ahead of the December 7 General elections.
