The Congolese student who was stabbed to death in Ternopil City in Ukraine by name Heritier Lusamba Fondly has been laid to rest at a cemetery at Mikulinetska 27 in Ukraine. In attendance were the Dean of his former university, some teachers, friends, and loved ones.
His family in the Democratic Republic of Congo, however, were unable to attend due to travel restrictions imposed by several countries in their response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Investigations are on-going towards the prosecution of the accused murderer known only as Alissa who was arrested and has since been granted bail after the payment of her bail amount of $11,666.
Members of the Congolese and African communities in Ukraine, while crying for justice, have however refrain from talking to the media fearing backlash from a Ukrainian public which has been known to attack Africans for no apparent reasons.
