Diella TekuGhanaian Afrobeat star Kelvynboy, known for his hit song “Down Flat,” has revealed a new chapter in his life—one centered on family and personal growth, far removed from the controversies that once made headlines.
In an interview with YFM’s Kojo Manuel on Dryve of Your Lyfe monitored by adwoaadubianews, the award-winning artist shared that his priorities have shifted, with his focus now on real-life issues that impact him and his loved ones.
“I don’t wake up thinking about my past controversies,” Kelvynboy stated, reflecting on how his perspective has evolved. As a father of three and someone managing a building project, he explained that his current responsibilities take precedence over any drama from the past. “I have a lot of things to think about. I came from a low background,” he added, highlighting the challenges he’s overcome to get where he is today.
The artist also opened up about his dreams for his children, expressing a desire for them to embrace music, not necessarily for fame, but for the love of the craft. “If my children grow up to be good singers, they’ve fulfilled my dream. They don’t need to be famous, but they should master music—becoming great singers, either like me or even better,” he said. Kelvynboy’s passion for music runs deep, admitting that hitting a wrong note can affect him mentally, a testament to how much he values his art.
His candid reflections signal a shift from the spotlight of controversy to a more grounded, family-oriented approach, as he continues to navigate his music career with a focus on personal fulfillment and raising his children with the same dedication to music that drives him.
