Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Kwabena Agyapong, has stated that it smacks of hypocrisy for the National Democratic Congress to slate President Akufo-Addo for borrowing moneys to improve upon Ghana’s infrastructure project.
Speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show, Mr. Agyapong stated that the government of President Akufo-Addo has managed to prudently use moneys it has borrowed to put up massive projects compared to what the previous administration of the NDC did.
According to him, when it comes to the health sector, President Akufo-Addo record beats that of Mr. Mahama who used over € 250 million to build the Ridge hospital.
“I am shocked to hear them (NDC). This government has used just euros 160 m to start a project of building the Tema Regional hospital and the Central Medical stores that got burnt”, he said.
