In order to avoid any form of rigging by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) especially in its stronghold, Ashanti Region, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has hinted that it would deploy drones to monitor the process.

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party, Mr. Augustus Nana Akwasi hinted at this in an interview on Akoma FM. ‘The NDC has drones we would be working with on that day. We shall deploy drones at hotspots to make sure we have enough evidence for election irregularities. The whole process would be broadcasted live’, he said confidently.

Continuing, he said, ‘We the NDC are not going to lose guard on the ground. We the NDC shall protect ourselves not with guns. What I tell our party supporters is that after voting, we must stay at polling stations to protect our polling agents. We shall video every little incident with our cameras and phones till the ballots are counted’, Nana Akwasi stressed.
