The National Democratic Congress’ (NDC’s) Parliamentary Candidate for Agona West, Paul Ofori- Amuah has admitted to having issued open cheques found with suspects who are said to have hired to kill the Gender Minister, Cynthia Mamle Morrison.
On Sunday October 18 there were reports that the Agona West Parliamentary Candidate was arrested together with four people for planning to kill the Member of Parliament for Agona West, Cynthia Mamle Morrison.
This report was denied by the Parliamentary Candidate for the NDC who claimed his was going to take legal actions against people who put the story out.
But the Police have confirmed the story and have said that the Parliamentary Candidate has admitted to issuing the cheques to the suspects and has since been charged with preparations to commit crime to wit murder and abetment to commit crime to wit murder.
The four suspects who have been arraigned have also been charged with Preparations to commit crime, to wit murder and carrying offensive weapons and have since been remanded and are expected to reappear before the court on October 30,2020.
