FrimpongThe World Trade Center located in Abuja, Nigeria has been gutted by fire.
The World Trade Centre is a complex of eight buildings under construction in the Central Business District of Abuja, FCT in Nigeria comprising seven skyscrapers planned for the site, two of which have already been topped out, with the others either under construction or at various stages of development.
According to a video sighted on gossipmillniger, the fire has been destroying the topmost floor of the building for nearly 3 hours.
Officials and eyewitnesses stated that the fire broke out on Monday starting at top of a section of the World Trade Center complex and spread to other parts.
In a tweet, the Nigerian Federal Fire Service said, “Our men are already at the scene.”
The fire incident has razed a section of the World Trade Centre building which is located in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
However, the cause of the fire outbreak is currently unknown but at the time of the news broke out, reports have it that persons of the Federal Fire Service were working to put out the fire.
