Veteran actress, Grace Omaboe is popularly known as Maame Dokono has revealed that the New Patriotic Party(NPP) has abandoned her.
Maame Dokono who well says despite campaigning for the NPP, the party has not reciprocated her gesture when she needed it most.
According to her, even though members of the party are aware they have not cared to come to her aid.
“To tell you frankly, when I stood behind the NPP and campaigned for them, I thought when I fell sick they would come to my aid. Apart from those who are very close, nobody has come to look for me.
“They are aware. Anyway, some of them are aware and can pass the message across. At least my pastor’s wife from Royal House Chapel where I worship comes to visit me every day.”
Grace Omoboe who stood on the ticket of the NDC in Birim North Constituency in the Eastern Region as the Parliamentary Candidate in 2000 and 2004 defected to the NPP in 2008.
She was very vocal in the 2008 electioneering campaign for the ruling NPP but unfortunately, the party lost.
