FrimpongThe people of Nhyinahin Abobowin community, Junction Electoral area in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region, have expressed worries over bad roads, abandoned toilet projects and lack of social amenities in the area, thus calling on authorities to come to their aid, so as to alleviate the suffering of the people.
“We lack Roads, Drainage and people defecate about any how, causing another problem for the community”, the residents lamented.
“According to the residents, despite persistent appeals to opinion leaders and the assembly on the urgent need to provide basic amenities in our community, nothing has been done to alleviate our plight in the area.
“Residents accused leadership of the district Assembly, Hon William Darko (DCE), the member of parliament Hon lsaac Kwame Asiamah, for failing to provide the community with these essential amenities.
And however lamented that, the present leadership of the council had not carried out any developmental projects in the area.
Speaking to the Assembly Man of Junction Electoral area, Mr Kwabena Karikakri said, several letters have been written to the assembly but, nothing has been done to alleviate the plight. He urged the DCE, government to deem it necessary to focus on the abandoned toilet projects and rapid infrastructural development in the community.
Meanwhile, the assembly member for Nyinahin Abobowin electoral area, Hon Clinton Darko is worried of the delay of Nyinahin town roads causing disaster and pollution.
According to Hon. Clinton Darko “the residents of the Abobowin community have been neglected of the provision of roads, potable water and a toilet facility. A situation the district assembly is supposed to have done everything possible to address without delay”.
