The Minority on the Appointments Committee has indicated that the Information Minister-designate Kojo Oppong Nkrumah was not the least candid especially on his private businesses when he took his turn at the vetting.

According to the Minority, the Ofoase Ayeribi MP has an 82% share in a company called Oval Market Finance. This finance company is believed to be involved in some suspicious third-party lending to West Brownstone which is also his.

The Minority on the Appointments Committee said the Minister is said to have denied outstanding obligations to Oval Microfinance despite the BoG’s examination report establishing the contrary.

Also, the Minority indicate that per their research and investigations, the Information Minister-designate has dealings with MX24 GH, a content creation, digital agency and media production house located in East Legon, which he said he didn’t have anything to do with during his vetting.

The Minority members on the Appointments Committee has rejected some nominees of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for Ministerial position whiles some are still on pending and will be made to reappear before the Committee in a time to be decided.
