Some Ghanaians still find it difficult to believe that, chiefs can be true Christian worshipers because of certain traditional customs and rites they perform. In view of this, anytime a Chief attends Church Service, some Christians look at them differently.

But when the Asantehene attends a particular Church, it is mostly classified as blessing and a respect to that Church because of his political power he holds as one of the most powerful Chiefs in Ghana.

Yesterday, Sunday, 18th April 2021, His Royal Majesty the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene attends the thanksgiving memorial service of his late father-in-law, Mr Stephen Amaning.

Late Stephen Amaning is the father of Her Royal Majesty, Lady Julia Osei Tutu, the beautiful wife of the Asantehene. The thanksgiving service took place at the Ramseyer Memorial Presbyterian Church, Adum-Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

Some politicians and other dignitaries were also captured at the thanksgiving service. They are the Kantinka Dr Sir Kwame Donkor Fordjour, second Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Kwame Addo Kuffour, Former Minister of Defence and Interior under President John Agyekum Kufuor’s regime.

Also in attendance are Hon. Patricia Appiagyei, Member of Parliament (MP) for Asokwa, Dr Edward Prempeh, Board Chairman, Ghana Immigration Service, COP Kofi Boakye, Director, Legal Ghana Police Service among other dignitaries.
