FrimpongAmong measures to ensure the strict protection of third year Senior High School students going back to school from COVID-19 is that no visitors would be allowed on campus, including parents.
The Education Minister, Mathew Opoku Prempeh made this known while briefing the media Tuesday, June 2, on measures taken against the spread of COVID-19 amongst students going back to school.
Mr Opoku Prempeh also disclosed that there will be no religious activities on campus, no assemblies and no mass gatherings will also be permitted and that only students and their teachers will be on the various SHS campuses.
Among the measures also include the splitting of class sizes to ensure the social distancing protocol is strictly adhered to.
All day students in boarding schools would be accepted as boarders, with classes starting at 9am and ending at 1pm.
The Minister in downplaying the fears of parents said there would be “enhanced protocols” to cater for their wards and all necessary steps would be taken to prevent infections.
