Joe PeeYesterday was a bad day for commercial vehicle users in Accra and its environs.
The commercial vehicle drivers went on strike yesterday to protest against the high cost of fuel in the country.
This action of theirs caused a lot of people to be stranded as many could not get cars to their various places of work.
In order to salvage the situation, the IGP decided to provide buses at vantage points to help some stranded people.
A total of 18 buses were made available to freely transport school children and elderly people and some stranded people to their destinations.
