Diella TekuThe Ghana Police Service has swiftly restored order in Mamobi, a suburb of Accra, following violent clashes between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC). What began as a political dispute quickly escalated into chaos, leaving nine people injured and raising concerns over rising political tensions in the area.
The police, acting with urgency, brought the situation under control, preventing further escalation. Authorities have since identified the perpetrators and launched a manhunt to ensure those responsible for the violence are brought to justice.
In a statement on social media monitored by adwoaadubianews, the police confirmed their commitment to apprehending the individuals involved, reassuring the public that law and order would be upheld. The clashes, which briefly threatened the peace in Mamobi, have now been contained, with calm restored to the community.
The incident highlights the ongoing rivalry between Ghana’s two dominant political parties and the challenges of maintaining peace during periods of heightened political activity. Local residents have called for continued vigilance from security forces to prevent such confrontations from erupting again.

NPP-NDC DISTURBANCES AT MOMOBI: POLICE RESTORE CALM AND ON MANHUNT TO ARREST PERPETRATORS
The Ghana Police Service has restored calm at Mamobi, a suburb of Accra, following disturbances between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the area that resulted in the injuries of nine persons.
Seven of the injured victims have been treated and discharged while two are still receiving treatment at the hospital.
Meanwhile, an intelligence-led operation is currently ongoing to get the perpetrators who have been identified by the Police arrested to face justice.
