The 16-year-old sustained injuries on December 19 when he fell from a moving vehicle on a suburban street, according to the Jefferson County coroner’s office.

The Vestavia Hills police department is investigating the circumstances surrounding Meek’s death but is yet to release any public statements.

In addition to his acting career, Meek led a rich and fulfilling life. His adventurous spirit led him to visit all 50 U.S. states, and he found joy in snow skiing, creating music playlists for friends, and singing in his school choir.

Meek’s family has announced plans for a funeral and memorial service, which will be livestreamed on his Instagram account this Saturday. The service is expected to draw friends, family, and fans who were touched by his warmth and talent.
