FrimpongGhana’s leading online portal allghanasports.com had a one on one exclusive interview with Accra Hearts of Oak right back Larry Sumaila Ibrahim.
The former POAK Fc player joined the phobians in 2019 under the tutelage of Kim Grant but has since been under the shadow of Captain Abdul Fatawu Mohammed.
The valour right back revealed how it all started.
“I am Larry Sumaila Ibrahim who currently plays for the Ghana Premier League giant Accra Hearts of Oak. I am Very humble and simple person who appreciate everything. “
“I started my football career from Topten academy, a colts team in Madina. I played almost eight years for the club. I am right back but can play as a utility as well. “
“I started my education from
Umar Bun Khatab Islamic School primary and J.H.S and went to Mercy Senior High school. I couldn’t continue when I completed senior high school.”
“Ah well, in Hearts of Oak there is a very massive competition and am learning a lot from my competitors that is keeping me going. “
“For now I don’t want to play for any club apart from Hearts of Oak because my target is Europe if not then I am dedicated to the club. “
“I went to Paok fc in Greece but didn’t keep long so I have to come back home. Amankwah Mireku and Philip Lahm are my role models. “
“I Haven’t gotten any National team call up yet and I know I will get very soon and I am ready if am giving the chance
What motivate me to play football is my kid sister anytime I see her I get into the football mood more and more. “
“My greatest regret in football is when I had my knee injury
I thought that was the end of my football career. “
“It’s my dream to win something for Hearts of Oak probably the league and the FA cup
A word to everyone not only my Muslims brothers and sisters but to everyone thanks for the support and prayers. We ain’t done yet will make them proud so they smile when ever they see me in the wonderland…and to Everyone who is feeling less privileged,don’t give up God is not done with you yet .”
