Amoaning has revealed that some top government officials have re-opened an LGBT office at an undisclosed location in Accra.
Speaking on Neat FM’s Ghana Montie show on Monday, August 16, which was monitored by MyNewsGhana.net, the law lecturer said that information available to him indicates that over $80,000 was pumped in by these government officials in setting up the new office.
Providing more information on this issue, Mr Foh Amoaning said that the LGBT advocates have now rebranded themselves as civil society groups championing sexual reproductive health in the country.
In a bid to stop this, Mr Foh- Amoaning has assured that his outfit will hold a press conference in the coming days and expose persons who are hiding behind the veil of CSO to carry on with this illegal act.
“We have picked up information that some government officials have facilitated the move for an LGBT office to be set up at a cost of $80,000. We know all this and we will be holding a press conference to address this issue” he assured.
He also allayed fears that the passage of the private members bill against LGBT will mean that superpowers such as the USA will blacklist Ghana.
In his view, “it will be better for the US to blacklist Ghana rather than for God to blacklist us,” he said.
