The hashtag #FixTheCountry has been trending Number one on Twitter in Ghana since morning and here is why.
Ghanaian youth and some grown ups are fed up of the increase in taxes, increase in fuel, power outages(dumsor), water shortage, corruption, the high unemployment rate et al and have taken to social media to protest.
They took to social media to express their disappointment at the current government New Patriotic Party(NPP) for not fulfilling their campaign promises.
The hashtag detailed the many issues the country is facing and some lambasted both NPP and NDC(the longest serving political parties) for failing the country.
The protest did not exclude celebrities as they added their voice to shout at the government and call them to order.

3 problems that continues to plague Ghana’s development are “Politics, Leadership Crisis & Corruption”
•We are more partisan than patriots.
•Opportunities are not evenly distributed.
•Our national development plan is not properly outlined and adhered to. #FixTheCountry— officialTeePhlow🇬🇭 (@TeePhlowGH) May 2, 2021
