Joe PeeThe Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi has dazzled some journalists during his media engagement.
The controversial businessman cum politician. Who is not a friend of the English Language caused the media confused and many laughing. As he summarizes the New Patriotic Party 2020 Manifesto document.
Chairman Wontumi who was expressing himself in his usual funny ways in English Language said, the party’s 2020 Manifesto document under the theme ‘Leadership of Service: Protecting Our Progress, Transforming Ghana For All’ has shown that, the NPP led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has performed better and committed to do more Ghanaians.
Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, expressing himself on government’s loan package for tertiary students. Infrastructural development and rental loan for some class of Ghanaians surprisingly used some phrases such as “Perplexed, abroad has come to Ghana.” As explaining government’s promise to advance loan to young Ghanaians in the informal sector to pay their rents.
His expression has caused many chanting by putting journalists in the state of confusion. It does appear many did not expect his caliber to be fluent in the English Language hence their chants mentioning his nickname “Chairman Wontumi”
