FrimpongAdwoaadubianews yesterday reported that a final year student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) who offers Geological Engineering has murdered an Uber driver in a forest near Nyinahini in Atwima Nponua district in the Ashanti region.
The student, Emmanuel Awoah explained that the decease owns him an amount of One thousand two hundred(1200) Ghana cedis but all attempt to retrieve his money from the Uber driver proved futile.
The student together with his friend hired the uber from Mamponteng in the Kwabre East District and told the decease to drive them to Nyinahini. On their way to Nyinahini ,they reached a typical forest where they tied a robe around his neck and threw him into the forest.
This morning, information reaching us has it that the final year student has been arrested.
According to the Kwabre East Divisional Police command, Emmanuel Awoah intentionally called his late friend to come and pick up some Chinese passengers to an undisclosed location.
Unfortunately the motive behind his call was to kill him because all attempt to retrieve his money from the Uber driver proved futile.
Daniel Owusu, owner of the car of the late Uber driver hours after not hearing from him reported the case to the police and out of a thorough investigation by the police they found out the murderer was driving the car after he killed his friend
