However, supporters of the NDC in the constituency are pointing fingers at the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) who doubles as the parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Alhaji Sualisu Bamba.
Meanwhile, some supporters of the NDC who besieged the police station to demand police action over the matter were also allegedly beaten and dispersed by armed government soldiers.
The situation is said to have escalated tension in the constituency as some youth of the NDC are vowing to retaliate.
Some of the supporters have also accused the soldiers of “taking sides”. All efforts to reach the MCE for his reaction on the matter proved futile.
