FrimpongGhanaians are reminiscing about the most popular TV shows years ago and the issue of the whereabouts of the host of Maa Nkomo has surfaced.
The popular girl talk show was hosted by Afia Ansaa Ampene and she has been missing in the media space for years now.
Before now, the only couple of times the host of Maa Nkomo appeared in the media was when she was dragged before the court in 2017 for alleged fraud.
According to the report, Afia Ansaa Ampene and her son, Stephen Kwabena allegedly collected goods from a dealer of Nestle and Unilever to the tune of GH¢265,988 in 2016.
They were allegedly supposed to sell the goods and make payments to the companies but went into hiding after that.
They were arrested in 2017 and arraigned before court. But their lawyer argued that they couldn’t make payment in time because their business partners failed on their promise.
“It is not my clients’ intention not to pay the money. Their business partners have not been faithful. But they will take steps to settle the amount,’ the lawyer pleaded in court.
They were granted bail in the sum of GH¢205,900 with three sureties. The case was adjourned to 13th March 2017.
That was the last time Afia Ansaa Ampene was heard off in the media. It’s unknown whether she was able to meet the bail conditions or not.
This has worried her thousands of fans who are wondering if she is still jail for her inability to meet the bail conditions and subsequently make payment to the companies she owed.
