The track achieved an astounding 1.7 million streams globally on its first day, breaking the previous record for the biggest streaming debut by an African artist.
This achievement not only outperformed Wizkid’s own previous record of 870,577 streams with “MMS” featuring Asake but also positioned Nigeria as the 22nd country to surpass 1 million daily streams on the platform. The single’s success further propelled its debut at number 90 on the global Spotify Chart.
The milestone highlights Wizkid’s growing global influence and solidifies his position as a trailblazer in the African music scene.
